Your slabbed cards are an investment — and a $5,000 Charizard slab can be damaged by humidity, UV, or a single careless drop. Here's how to store them like a pro.

High humidity damages the cardboard inside the slab over time. Use silica packs in storage boxes. Dehumidifier in humid climates.
UV light fades the holo layer and yellows the cardstock — visible through clear slabs over time. Store in opaque boxes or away from windows.
Plastic slab sleeves protect from surface scratches when handling. Especially important for premium tuxedo and BGS slabs that scratch easily.
For transporting slabs (to a card show, to a buyer): use a hard plastic case with foam padding. Never use unpadded paper sleeves or loose stacking in a bag — slab corners chip easily on impact.
