Each service, in plain terms

PSA — the standard

Largest population, broadest market recognition. Pricing: $25–$75 depending on tier. Best for Pokémon, sports, and resale.

BGS — subgrade specialist

Beckett Grading. Famous for subgrades (centering/corners/edges/surface). Best for modern hits where subgrades drive premium.

CGC — the fast option

Faster turnaround, lower fees than PSA. Strong for TCGs (Pokémon, MTG, YGO). Increasing market trust.

SGC — vintage specialist

Known for vintage cards and tuxedo holders. Often the best value for older sports cards.
